Imagine New York traffic, but instead of those characteristic car horns, it sounds like a herd of goats has taken over downtown Manhattan. That's a future that could be just around the corner if maverick Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has his way.
In a series of recent tweets, Musk detailed new upcoming Tesla updates, including one in which he said newer versions of Tesla vehicles will be updated to have the option to bleat like a goat as their car horn.

The series of tweets started in response to one tweeter asking Elon Musk whether Tesla drivers will be able to get around potholes on Autopilot to avoid damage.
Yes! We’re labeling bumps & potholes, so the car can slow down or steer around them when safe to do so.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) August 14, 2020
"Also definitely coming," Musk tweeted in response to another tweeter asking whether goat sounds were going to be introduced in a future update. In October, Musk had assured followers on Twitter that this would, indeed, be a new sound option.
Also definitely coming haha. Will only be on relatively recent cars, as we didn’t have an outside speaker until about a year ago. Can change inside sound easily.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) August 14, 2020
Finally, Musk addressed the question of two-factor authentication for the Tesla app by apologizing and saying it was coming embarrassingly late:
Sorry, this is embarrassingly late. Two factor authentication via sms or authenticator app is going through final validation right now.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) August 14, 2020
When will these updates be released? Though we don't have an exact date, Musk did say that two-factor authentication is going through "final validation." A celebratory goat bleat will no doubt be forthcoming when the update is finally revealed.
