Blockbuster Airbnb set upAirbnb
Everyone likes a good ol' throwback down memory lane. With so many online streaming sites available these days, for most people, the days of going to a store to rent a movie on tape are gone. Yet many good memories stem from that.
So the last standing Blockbuster is offering its store, which has been set up as a 1990s living room, for three nights of nostalgic movie-watching to anyone living in the area who chooses to rent it out via Airbnb.
Get your 1990s Kodak camera out for the occasion, as this will be a night to remember.

Reservations go live on Airbnb on August 17th at 1 p.m. PT, where you can book one night on either August 18th, 19th, or 20th.
The store, located in Bend, Oregon, and its facilities will be properly cleaned as per CDC regulations in between each reservation. The reservations are limited to four guests per evening and so far only residents of Deschutes County are able to reserve their spot. Blockbuster decided to thank its faithful local customers with this idea for their continued support, which enabled them to keep their doors open so long.
As the ad on Airbnb goes "remember, the store is all yours for the night! So let loose, blast the boombox and wear your favorite ‘90s denim so that you feel right at home in another era."
What a way to commemorate a fantastic decade!
As Blockbuster explained "Crack open a two-liter of Pepsi before locking into a video game, charting your future in a game of MASH, or watching movie after movie. But be wary of reciting “Bloody Mary” in the staff bathroom off of the break room, as you just may summon the ghost rumored to haunt the store. And help yourself to some NERDS, Raisinets, and popcorn (heavy on the butter), but make sure you save room for a couple of slices."
If reading this hasn't yet brought you back to the 90s, and you live in Deschutes County, then make sure to reserve your spot at this Blockbuster, the memories are sure to flood back. Time to whip out the nostalgia strings.
